This new limited edition collaboration combines modern watchmaking with car making heritage in a stunning 1960s style design.
First introduced in 1969, the ‘Speedtimer’ was a major innovation milestone in Seiko’s watchmaking heritage. Nissan Motor Corporation’s ‘Datsun,’ Japan’s leading sports car brand, launched in the same year.
In 1971, the Datsun 240Z car, also known as the Fairlady Z – adorned with Seiko logo sponsorship – won the East African Safari Rally, one of the world’s toughest races. The Datsun 240Z parallels the Seiko Speedtimer with its stylish, resilient and reliable high performance.
This Speedtimer watch features many design elements from the original DATSUN 240Z rally car: the colour scheme, the font from the instrument panels of the vehicle and the DATSUN logo on the dial. A 3-dimensional emblem of the winning car is engraved on the case back alongside the limited edition number, whilst the bi-colour aluminium bezel features a tachymeter speed measurement tool. The black LWG-approved leather strap adds a touch of elegance to a sporty design.
Powered by an in-house V192 Solar-charged movement charged by natural and artificial light, this chronograph is accurate to +/- 15 seconds per month, with a 6 month power reserve at full charge, and comes in its own special limited edition box.
Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Free delivery is available on all UK orders -For items listed as in stock, your order should be completed before 4:00pm (Monday-Friday) for us to despatch the same day or before 11:30am on Saturday for delivery Monday. Please note that all orders must pass our security policy before they are despatched and we must be able to take payment successfully, if this is not possible we will email or send an SMS with further instructions. For queries and delivery questions please feel free to call us on +441926 298499 (English only).For other items, a delivery estimate will be shown where possible. If we feel we are unable to adhere to the timescale after you place your order we will contact you to make you aware and allow you to change your order if necessary. Items will be sent by your chosen delivery method once they are back in stock and payment will not be taken until the items are despatched (NB. PayPal and Amazon orders are charged immediately).Returns Policy
We aim for you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase and therefore offer you 30 days to change your mind on your purchase (excludes pre-owned watches). You may do this by using the form provided with your order or otherwise. We will provide a refund of all payment received (not including delivery upgrades), usually within 48 hours of receipt of the product. This will be made to the original payment method. For most payment methods it will take 3-5 working days for this to show on your statement.
Please ensure items from your order are suitable before wearing as we are unable to accept items which have been worn under our returns policy.For UK orders under £500, you may generate a free tracked and insured returns label on the Royal Mail website (opens in a new window). You can print this label and send it back at any local Post Office at no cost to yourself. It is also possible to have the label printed at Post Office using the QR code from the confirmation email. Please retain the proof of postage receipt. Unfortunately we are unable to provide a refund of return postage for returns through other methods, so we recommend printing the free postage label provided. For orders over £500, please consult your receipt for details on how to return. For international returns, you will need to bear the cost of returns postage. Please ensure the watch is returned to us in an unworn, new condition with all the original packaging (manufacturer's manual and guarantee if applicable). Please ensure items from your order are suitable before wearing as we are unable to accept items which have been worn under our returns policy. We reserve the right to make deductions for unnecessary damage caused to the product by yourself.
We are also able to offer an exchange to a different product if required, please specify this when returning your product.
If a fault develops with a watch that is outside of the 30 day returns period or is no longer in a new condition the watch can be returned to the manufacturer under the terms of the guarantee (we are an official UK dealer for all brands on our website) so that they can rectify any issues. The watch was an extremely fair price, notwithstanding its rarity and hard to find UK stock. A small glitch by Royal Mail; delayed delivery by a few days - but First Class Watches did everything they could for a free of charge, next-day delivery. The watch was immaculate on delivery; exactly as described, immaculate and in a special to type unmarked presentation case. My Son was absolutely delighted and keen to get on his wrist. I removed a few links for him and it fit perfectly. A small snag was that the pins, I refitted, didn't seem to secure the bracelet links and fell out. I contacted First Class Watches and was delighted to gain an instant response; offering without hesitation, to send me 2nr New Links (Special Order from the manufacturer) and the correct pins - the next day a nice pen arrived; apologising for any inconvenience (a really nice touch).
We dealt with a chap called Rowland, who had followed us up the day after the watch landed. We contacted Rowland on a weekend, to say that Royal Mail hadn't delivered (their fault). Rowland took immediate responsibility and that night the watch arrived. I must say the service I received in the purchase of my Son's watch, has been OUTSTANDING throughout. Every aspect of my contact with First Class Watches has been of the very highest order. Huge well done to Rowland and the Team and a thank you from my Son. The very best experience for a long long time - how customer service should be done.
